Imvusa Transport Reachout was started in 2005 by Richard and Marlene Clark. Gift bags were made up for the previous disadvantaged kids and elderly people in the Karoo. The first trip was to Middlepos, Fraserburg and Sutherland. The vehicle used for the transport was a Volkswagen Golf Tdi.
2006: The trip was to Laingsburg and then to Ladysmith via the back roads of the Karoo. The vehicle used for transport was a Mercedes Vito Bus sponsored by Izak Smith.
2007: The trip was to De Doorns then Montagu, Ladismith, Van Wyksdorp, Herbertsdale, Mosselbay and Riversdale. The vehicle used was again a Mercedes Vito Bus sponsored by Izak Smith.
2008: Great changes started taking place, humble beginnings started expanding. On board came Tony de Costa, Izak Smith, Johan van Schalkwyk, Wayne Gentry and Marilyn Beck. Food parcels also became part of the reachout. The trip was to Rietbron, where the whole town was fed. The vehicles used were an Isuzu D/B Cab with trailer and a Mercedes Vito Bus with trailer.
2009: This time the trip was to the Karoo town of Merweville. Food parcels were handed to members of the “Karoobossies”, a club for senior citizens. Both the schools in the town were blessed with gift bags for the kids.
2010: The process started for the registering of a non-profit organization and a name was chosen, WAWWA (We Are Who We Are) foundation.
